Creation Tallit

This tallit focuses on the first five days of creation; from the creation of the earth, sea, and light, to the creation of the creatures of the earth and sea.

Band I
This band is a telescoped view of the first five days of creation; out of a swirling nothingness comes the waters, land emerging, and the first signs of wildlife.

Translation of Hebrew (Genesis 1, 1):
"In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth."

Band II
Animals congregate in harmony in this pastoral scene.

Translation of Hebrew (Genesis 1, 24):
"And God said: 'Let the earth bring forth the living creature after its kind, cattle, and creeping thing, and beast of the earth after its kind.' And it was so."

The neckband of the tallit is decorated with the traditional blessing, hand painted with gold-outlined, crowned, Hebrew lettering.
The tallit is shown on a background of cream wool blend. The tallit tzitziot (threads) are handspun.

A matching tallit bag, tefillin bag and yarmulke are also available. The tallit bag is made of cream wool blend and has a strip of painted silk running horizontally.

The tallit and all items are handmade.

Cream Wool - a cream colored wool blend.
White Polyester - a light weight white crease resistant polyester.

Small 18” x 60”, 45 x 150 cm.

Threads:
White - Standard white threads for the tzitziot.
Blue - Each tzitzit has three white threads and one authentic blue thread.
