Reeh Tallit
Parasha Reeh tells of Joshua Ben Nun crossing the Jordan River into the land which has been promised to the Israelites and discusses rules of conduct including the freeing of slaves after a six year period.
Band I
Joshua Ben Nun is crossing the Jordan, based on Deuteronomy chapter 12 verse 6, "For ye are to pass over the Jordan to go in to possess the land…"
Band II A slave is freed.
Translation of Hebrew (Deuteronomy chapter 15, verse 12):
"If thy brother, a Hebrew man, or a Hebrew woman, be sold unto thee, he shall serve thee six years; and in the seventh year though shalt let him go free from thee."
The background material of this tallit is a beautiful cream wool blend. The neckband features the traditional blessing in crowned Hebrew lettering outlined in gold.
A matching tallit bag, teffilin bag and kippah are also available. The tallit bag is made of cream wool blend and has a strip of painted silk running horizontally.
The tallit tzitziot (threads) are handspun.
The tallit and all items are handmade.
