About Israelcraft

Care of Israelcraft Tallit

Israelcraft, The Tallit Shop, was an on-line shop from 2000 to 2018, specializing in silk-painted prayer shawls from Israel on the theme of the weekly Biblical portions of the Old Testament.

The idea was Marilyn Jackler’s, an American, born in California, who moved to Israel in her twenties, where she married, raised a family, and lives today.

The Israelcraft, The Tallit Shop website closed online in 2018.

Israelcraft has recently reinvented itself; offering, for non-commercial use, for free download; the template line designs used to make silk paintings of Biblical subjects during the years that Israelcraft, The Tallit Shop was active.

Israelcraft is offering a free Tallit (prayer shawl) to first time visitors to Israel, on the condition that they come and pick it up.

Available for viewing are Galleries of Prayer shawls (Tallitot) of the weekly portions of the Five Books of the Old Testament, as well as This Week’s Old Testament Portion Archive, which is a compilation of Israelcraft’s featured weekly Old Testament Portions.
Free illustrations of the weekly portions of the Five Books of the Old Testament are also available, as well as illustrations of:

Women of the Bible
Kings and Men of the Bible
Passover
Book of Esther
Book of Ruth
Judaica

And the Kid’s Corner in the Illustrations section offers illustrations for coloring, that can be made into birthday cards.

Two articles are available on subjects related to Biblical archeology; one on Ancient Techelet (blue dye) Production in Shikmona, Haifa, Israel:

The other, is about the Canaanite Gate and Fortress at Ashkelon National Park.

There is an article about the similar Biblical stories of Yael and Judith.

And lastly, a just published article, My Road to Israel.
